The
ITRex development team built an all-in-one wellness app for iOS and Android. It rewards users for everyday actions that support their physical, mental, and social well-being.
The app includes the following functionality:
●
Rewarded step tracking. The app counts users’ daily steps and converts them into an in-app currency called Vibes. To collect activity data across different devices, ITRex integrated the app with the device pedometer, Apple Health on iOS, and Health Connect or Google Fit on Android.
●
Healthy habit tracking. Users can choose habits such as drinking water, stretching, sleeping well, or meditating and add them to their daily routines. The app groups habits into broader areas, helping users see how well they are moving, eating, sleeping, and connecting with other people.
●
Workouts & meditation. Users earn rewards for every minute they spend exercising or meditating through the app. A library of more than 1,000 on-demand videos covers strength training, high-intensity interval training, low-impact exercise, mobility, meditation, and other wellness activities.
●
Virtual currency & rewards. Users can exchange the Vibes they earn for gift cards or donate their rewards to charitable organizations. This connects everyday healthy choices with tangible personal or social benefits.
●
Community & expert content. The app hosts live sessions with wellness coaches, experts, and other invited voices. Users can join interest-based groups, participate in discussions, ask questions, receive voice replies, and connect with peers working toward similar goals.
●
Real-time communication & streaming. ITRex integrated PubNub to support real-time conversations and Agora to stream live sessions within the app.
Using Claude across software delivery
Claude has supported the ITRex engineering team throughout the engagement since 2025. Its rollout began by giving every engineer access to Claude and allowing the team to learn where Claude API, Claude Code, and related tools could help—and where engineers still needed to provide more direction.
The team then created a shared Claude project containing current documentation, planning meeting outputs, and reference materials. This gives engineers the same project context instead of requiring each person to explain the product again in separate conversations.
ITRex also connected Claude to the team’s development tools through MCP. These connections help turn planning outputs into Jira tasks, give engineers coding assistance grounded in the project’s own materials, and create test documentation based on actual requirements. Engineers review every output before it enters the codebase.
