Our expectations
Required
- 7+ years overall production experience in web development
- 3+ years of experience in backend web development with languages such as Java and PHP
- 2+ years of experience with modern web technologies, reactive libraries, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases, especially Oracle and PostgreSQL
- 2+ years of experience with distributed caches such as Memcached and Redis
- Experience deploying code to a production environment and taking an active role in monitoring and testing
- Very comfortable using Git
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins)
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
- Experience using TypeScript for JavaScript development
- Experience with NodeJS
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ or Kafka
- Previous use of AWS Services, including EC2, Fargate, Elasticache, and RDS
Your responsibilities
- Work with highly scalable distributed and event driven systems that leverage asynchronous technologies, caching protocols, databases, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide a quality experience to end-users
- Collaborate with Web Engineers, DBAs, OPS and Product Managers to deliver appropriate data that meets the product and technical needs of the various platforms
- Refactor existing integration points to subproject to have a clear interface to shared and app services
- Extract the interface into reusable components for use in additional websites in the future
- Progressively deploy and iteratively update the website with the updated components
- Work on interesting and impactful problems on a fast-paced agile team that emphasizes quality and peer review
- Understand legacy code and legacy web technologies; modernize when possible
- Port/Move required services for and related to the subproject to the Cloud services Support In-App
